Responsibilities

Job Purpose

 

The Clubhouse Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing the repair and preventative maintenance requirements of the clubhouse infrastructure, equipment, and surrounding grounds. Clubhouse Maintenance Managers enjoy leading their team to maximize course operations and are comfortable executing semi-skilled construction with limited supervision.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Schedule preventative maintenance and other repairs
  • Schedule and supervise subordinates or staff members
  • Perform facility maintenance and housekeeping repairs including, but not limited to: electrical, plumbing, HVAC systems, building equipment, carpentry, special projects, and other related areas
  • Resolve technical maintenance problems
  • Conduct regular safety meetings
  • Schedule and/or supervise outside contractors
  • Work closely with sales and event team to coordinate special events or functions requiring facality maintenance and/or other departments coordination
  • Other duties may be assigned by management

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • 3 or more years of experience in golf course management
  • A least 1 – 2 years of experience managing direct reports, preferably in the golf industry
  • Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers and management
  • Ability to communicate effectively with English and Spanish speaking co-workers
  • Proficient computer and mechanical skills
  • Proven time management, budgeting, organization, and prioritization skills with successful multi-tasking experience
  • Relevant licenses for regulatory agencies
  • Ability to operate all equipment used for maintenance
  • Valid driver’s license

Education

  • High School Diploma required (Specialty / Technical Training preferred) and 2 years of related experience in a/c, heating, electrical, plumbing; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Working Conditions

  • Days and hours of work vary by schedule and business needs
  • Evening, weekend, and holiday work will be required
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to stand, walk, read, hear, talk, balance, climb, use hands, use fingers, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, smell, push or pull. The employee may be required to move or lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required for this position include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee will work both indoors and outdoors and may be exposed to extreme weather conditions including wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, toxic or caustic chemicals, fumes or airborne particles, risk of electrical shock, sharp objects, extreme heat and/or open flame. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

This is an hourly position at $16.00 to $18.00 per hour based on experience.
