Responsibilities

Job Purpose

 

The Locker Room Attendant is responsible for professionally serving members and guests in the facility locker room. Under the direction of management, Locker Room Attendants provide exceptional customer service by answering guest questions, explaining how to use facilities, cleaning shoes, and stocking supplies.

 

Responsibilities

  • Acknowledge, greet, and thank all members and guests
  • Maintain locker room by dusting and polishing furniture, equipment, mirrors, and fixtures; washing windows, counters, sinks, toilets, walls, and ceilings; dusting lockers; sweeping, scrubbing, and waxing floors; vacuuming carpets; watering plants; replacing light bulbs and emptying trash
  • Ensure adequate stock of supplies by replenishing tissue, toilet paper, towels, and soap
  • Assist members and guests by cleaning and shining shoes (if applicable) and replacing spikes, handling locker room rentals, and cancellations
  • Inform management of potential problems by reporting special customer requests, supply shortages, and broken or missing equipment/fixtures
  • Maintain continuity of service by obtaining event information from all departments to follow through with special event requirements or requests
  • Maintain safe working environment by complying with all safety procedures, rules, and requirements
  • Maintain continuity of service by acting as go-to person in resolving escalated maintenance or service issues
  • Make and distribute name tags for locker room and card room staff
  • Implement and support all AGC initiatives and programs as requested by management

Qualifications

Qualifications

 

  • Ability to work with little or no supervision
  • Ability to operate various tools, vacuum, ladder, mop, and workhorse cart
  • Valid driver’s license required

 

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent and 1 year of related experience, preferably in golf/hospitality/service industry

Working Conditions

  • Days and hours of work vary by schedule and business needs.
  • Evening, weekend, and holiday work will be required.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to stand for long periods of time, to walk, read, hear, talk, balance, climb, use hands, use fingers, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, smell, taste, push or pull. The employee may be required to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required for this position include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus.
